Hailing from New England, Pat spent her growing up years in Texas and Massachusetts and received a degree in speech pathology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. After working as a speech therapist, teacher of the deaf, social worker, Montessori pre-school teacher and at various administrative jobs, while also embracing the study and practice of Christian Science, Pat embarked on her most satisfying career; that of Christian Science nurse.

Christian Science nurses training was taken at The Leaves in Texas and at Chestnut Hill Benevolent Association in the 1980’s. During her years at The Leaves, Pat worked as staff Christian Science nurse, supervisor, visiting Christian Science nurse, camp Christian Science nurse, director of Christian Science nursing and attended many home births with follow-up Christian Science nursing care. From there, Pat moved to Rolle, Switzerland to be director of Christian Science nursing and then administrator/Christian Science nursing director of La Maison d’Accueil/Le Verger for about 5 years.

The need to return to New England and an opening for a visiting Christian Science nurse coincided in Pat fulfilling her current position with the Visiting Christian Science Nurse Service of New Hampshire where she has been since mid-1999.
