News and Notices – October 2022
The CSNN board is excited to start plans for our next International Christian Science Nursing Conference! 2023 ICSNC will be at CedarS CampS August 30- September 3, 2023, and we look forward to sharing more details with you in upcoming months.
Our good friend and colleague Kristin Palkoner resigned from the CSNN board in September. Kristin brought many gifts and talents to her work for CSNN and we are truly grateful for her contribution to our work. We’re particularly grateful for Kristin’s contribution to the 2021 online International Christian Science Nursing Conference (ICSNC). We send Kristin and her family much love as they focus on new activities and opportunities. Thank you, Kristin!
The board is delighted to announce that Barbara Waite, a Journal-listed Christian Science nurse from Almonte, Ontario, Canada, joined the board this month. As a Christian Science nurse, Barbara brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role as a member of the board. A warm welcome to you, Barbara!
The board welcomes Audrey Sentinella of Oxted, Surrey, England, to her new position as Manager of Christian Science Nursing Activities at The Mother Church, effective November 1st. Our grateful thanks to Linda Williams for the steadfast support and guidance she has provided in the role of Manager of Christian Science Nursing Activities this year. Vanessa Campbell will continue in her role as Assistant Manager of Christian Science Nursing Activities. We’re grateful to all those who are fulfilling vital leadership and management roles in Christian Science nursing at this time.
We encourage each of you to take a few moments to look at the News & Notices and to also check out our website at www.csnnetwork.org, paying special attention to offerings on our Continuing Education Tab which includes opportunities to learn and to develop your skills as Christian Science nurses.
With much love,
CSNN board
Obeying the divine Principle which you profess to understand and love, demonstrates Truth. Never absent from your post, never off guard, never ill-humored, never unready to work for God, – is obedience; being “faithful over a few things.” If in one instance obedience be lacking, you lose the scientific rule and its reward: namely, to be made “ruler over many things.”
